About this model
The Me 262 was the world's first operational jet-powered fighter, flown by the Luftwaffe in roles spanning fighter, bomber and reconnaissance duties. This model reproduces the type's distinctive twin-engine jet layout and surface detail in a ready-made collector's piece.
The model is built from diecast metal combined with plastic components, with panel lines, antennas and access panel detailing moulded in. The landing gear is depicted permanently retracted, and a stand is included so the aircraft can be displayed as if in flight.
