PRODUCT INFO
This is a JC Wings F-14A Tomcat in 1:72 scale, a diecast model aircraft decorated as the US Navy VF-41 Black Aces machine that operated from USS Nimitz during 1981.
About this model
The airframe is built up in diecast metal with certain parts moulded in plastic, so it reaches you ready for the display cabinet with no glue or paint needed. Panel lines, antennae and access hatches are picked out with care, and the pad-printed squadron markings are made to hold their colour over time.
The wings sweep as the real aircraft's did, the canopy opens, and the landing gear can be swapped with wheels that rotate freely. Ordnance can be fitted or removed as you prefer, and a hand-painted pilot figure sits in the cockpit alongside printed weapons placards. Being a limited edition, it's supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
