The Cobi Northrop F-5A Freedom Fighter is a 1:48 scale brick model kit of the Norwegian Air Force jet fighter, built from 358 interlocking blocks.

About this model

The F-5A was a lightweight fighter developed by Northrop in the 1960s, entering service in 1964. It became one of the most widely exported Western fighters of the Cold War, valued for its manoeuvrability, simplicity and low operating costs. Norway operated the F-5 for around 35 years, with the final examples retired from 336 Squadron at Rygge Air Base in 2000.

This officially licensed set is finished in Royal Norwegian Air Force markings and includes printed detail, movable ailerons, a removable landing gear assembly and an opening cockpit that fits a simplified pilot figure with helmet. The set also includes a brick-built display stand and a name plate showing the aircraft designation, scale and Norwegian flag.
