PRODUCT INFO
This is a Corgi Albatros D.V biplane fighter in 1:48 scale, a diecast model aircraft finished in the markings flown by Leutnant R Wolf of Jasta 5.
About this model
The Albatros D.V was one of the more visually distinctive German fighters of the Western Front, and this casting reproduces the blue and white diamond pattern associated with the Bavarian coat of arms, as carried on Wolf's aircraft. Jasta units were known for allowing pilots considerable freedom in personalising their machines, and this scheme is a notable example of that practice.
The model comes complete with a display stand, so it is ready to show straight away alongside the rest of a WW1 aviation collection.
