Tamiya F-14D Tomcat 1:48 Plastic Model Kit Aircraft - 61118

The Tamiya 61118 is a 1:48 scale plastic model kit of the Grumman F-14D Tomcat, the final production variant of the carrier-based fighter.

About this model

This kit represents the F-14D with a fuselage length of 398mm and reproduces the variable sweep wing mechanism using two sets of interchangeable parts, allowing the wings to be built fully swept or fully forward. Detail includes the General Electric F110-GE-400 engine nozzles, vertical stabiliser stiffener plates and dual chin pods, along with crew figures, detailed ejection seats and metal stickers for the fuselage reinforcing panels.

Ordnance options cover both air-to-ground and reconnaissance configurations, with laser-guided bombs, standard ordnance, LANTIRN and TARPS pods, jamming pods and individual camera components included, so a range of Cold War and post-9/11 loadouts can be recreated. Four marking options are provided.
