Airfix Fairey Gannet COD.4 1:48 Plastic Model Aircraft Kit

The Airfix Fairey Gannet COD.4 is a 1:48 scale plastic model kit of the distinctive carrier-based aircraft, designed for modellers assembling and painting their own build.

About this model

The Fairey Gannet is recognisable for its Armstrong Siddeley Double Mamba powerplant, which combines two gas turbine engines driving contra-rotating propellers through a single gearbox. This arrangement gives the aircraft its unusual profile and sets it apart from conventional single-engine naval types.

This kit reproduces the Gannet's bi-folding wing system, the feature that allowed the aircraft to be stowed efficiently aboard carriers. The box includes the plastic kit, instruction sheet, paint guide and decal sheet, giving you everything needed to complete the build and finish it in an accurate scheme.
