PRODUCT INFO
This is an Oxford Diecast Henschel Hs 123, a 1:72 scale diecast model aircraft finished in the markings of the Luftwaffe's 7./StG 165 'Immelmann' unit as they appeared in 1937.
About this model
The Henschel Hs 123A was a single seat biplane dive bomber and close support aircraft, built by Henschel after the company moved into aircraft design following the formation of the Luftwaffe in 1935. It first flew in 1936 and saw combat in the Spanish Civil War before being used in the early stages of World War II, where it proved less capable than more modern designs it faced.
This release carries the identity of 7./StG 165, the squadron named in honour of World War I flying ace Max Immelmann. The model is finished in the squadron's grey, green and chocolate brown camouflage with a pale blue underbody, a black on white swastika on the tail fin, and the aircraft code 52+A13 painted along both sides of the fuselage.
