Tamiya F-14A Tomcat 1:48 Plastic Model Kit 61114

The Tamiya 61114 is a 1:48 scale plastic model kit of the Grumman F-14A Tomcat, designed with access to real airframes to reproduce authentic proportions and panel detail.

About this model

The fuselage runs to nearly 400mm, giving a substantial display piece in either wings-swept or wings-extended configuration. The variable sweep wing mechanism is the defining feature of the real aircraft and of this kit, with two sets of interchangeable parts allowing the wings to be set fully forward or fully swept, each with its own sealing plates and air bag detail. The horizontal stabilisers use poly cap joints for smooth, repeatable movement after assembly.

Slide moulding gives clean, clear parts for the canopy, air intake sides and fuselage sections. The kit also includes separate parts for the nose probe and port-side ladder, plus a choice of open or closed engine nozzle parts. Decals cover two U.S. Navy schemes and one Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force livery.
