The Oxford Diecast Me163B is a 1:72 scale diecast model aircraft depicting the Messerschmitt Me163B Komet as flown by Captain Eric 'Winkle' Brown on 10th June 1945.
About this model
Brown, a Royal Navy test pilot who flew more aircraft types than anyone in history, was the only Allied pilot to fly the Me163B rocket fighter. This model recreates the aircraft in its post-capture RAF scheme, finished in green and brown camouflage with pale grey upper fuselage and yellow undersides.
Details include RAF roundels on the upper wings, red, white and blue rudder markings, a silver generator spinner, wheel axles, pitot tube and exhausts, and black wheel hubs and tail wheel. The model is built from metal and plastic and supplied boxed with a display stand.
