About this model
The F-14A Tomcat was the US Navy's long-serving swing-wing interceptor, and this diecast replica carries VF-41's squadron markings from its 1978 Nimitz deployment. The model combines diecast metal construction with plastic components for the finer details, and measures 10.75 inches in length with a wingspan that varies between 10.8 and 11.2 inches depending on wing sweep.
The cockpit includes two pilot figures visible beneath an opening canopy with internal detailing. Panel lines are engraved and the decals reproduce period-accurate Navy insignia, with optional decal variations supplied for some markings. Removable missiles and fuel tanks, optional landing gear and a display stand are all included.
