About this model
The F-104 Starfighter was a ground-breaking design, built around short, extremely sharp wings that allowed it to sustain Mach 2 for longer than brief intervals. It broke records for speed and rate of climb, and became known as "The Missile With A Man In It" because of its exceptional performance. Over fifteen nations operated the type, and it remained in service in Italy until 2004 after first flying with the United States Air Force in 1958.
This Hobby Master release reproduces the type in the colours of Luftwaffe unit JG 74 "Molders", carrying the registration 24+68. As a diecast model it arrives factory finished and ready to display.
