PRODUCT INFO
This is the Corgi McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Harrier II Plus, a 1:48 scale diecast model aircraft from the Aviation Archive range.
About this model
The finish reproduces VMA-214's Black Sheep Squadron scheme marking the unit's 75th anniversary, with a tribute to Major Gregory "PAPPY" Boyington applied to the starboard canopy. The casting covers the AV-8B Harrier II's service history with this squadron.
Moving features include rotating Pegasus engine exhausts and a fan blade inside the fuselage that spins. The canopy slides back to expose the cockpit, and the undercarriage lifts out, with the model supplied on its own display stand. Corgi has capped the run at 1,500 pieces worldwide, and it stands as their first 1:48 diecast rendition of the AV-8B Harrier II.
