Tamiya 60795 Grumman F-14D Tomcat 1:72 Plastic Model Aircraft Kit

The Tamiya 60795 is a 1:72 scale plastic model kit of the Grumman F-14D Tomcat.

About this model

This kit covers the F-14D through its service life from introduction in 1992 to retirement in 2006, including operations over Afghanistan and Iraq. Ordnance options reflect the type's multi-role evolution, with AIM-54C Phoenix missiles, LANTIRN pods and laser-guided bombs all included.

The variable-sweep wings operate through internal gears across their full range of movement, with interchangeable sealing plates and air bags for the wing glove mechanisms. Slide-moulded canopy sections and air intake sides give accurate curved surfaces, and the open tandem cockpit includes detailed pilot and RIO stations with instrument panels and ejection seats. Two seated figures are supplied, along with an optional deployable fuel probe and boarding ladder, masking stickers for the clear parts and metallic stickers for fuselage reinforcement panels.
