About this model
The EA-6B Prowler grew out of the A-6 Intruder design and became the US Navy and Marine Corps' standard electronic warfare platform, accompanying strike formations to disrupt enemy radar and collect signals intelligence. This particular release reproduces aircraft 163884/501 as flown by VAQ-209 in 2010, representing one of the squadron's last seasons with the Prowler before its transition to the EA-18G Growler.
The model is made from diecast metal with the squadron markings and tail flash already painted on at the factory. It arrives fully assembled and ready to take its place on a shelf or in a cabinet.
