Gemini Jets JASDF C-130 Hercules '05-1085' 1/400 Diecast Model Aircraft - GMJSD012

This is a Gemini Jets 1:400 scale diecast model of the Japan Self Defence Force (JASDF) C-130 Hercules, registration 05-1085, finished as a ready made display aircraft.

About this model

The C-130 Hercules has long been a mainstay of JASDF transport operations, and this replica is finished in the familiar grey scheme worn by the type. The airframe, wings and tail surfaces are all cast in metal, giving it a reassuring weight that lighter plastic models cannot match.

Surface detail includes panel lines, antennas and access hatches reproduced to mirror the full size aircraft. Rather than using decals, the markings and stencils are pad printed straight onto the body, so there is nothing to lift or discolour with age. The undercarriage is moulded down and fixed, so the model sits ready for a shelf or cabinet straight out of the box.

Common questions

What scale is this model built to?

It is built to 1:400 scale.

Does it need any assembly before I can display it?

No, it comes fully assembled with the landing gear fixed in the extended position, so it is ready to place on display as soon as it arrives. A separate flying stand can be bought if you prefer to display it airborne.

Will the paint markings wear off over time?

The markings and placards are pad printed onto the model rather than applied as decals, which makes them more resistant to fading or peeling than a standard decal finish.
