About this model
The Gazelle is a French five-seat helicopter used for light transport, scouting and light attack duties. Powered by a single Turbomeca Astazou turbine engine, it was the first helicopter to feature a fenestron tail rather than a conventional tail rotor, and was built jointly by Sud Aviation (later Aerospatiale) and Westland Aircraft, with further licensed production by SOKO in Yugoslavia and ABHCO in Egypt.
This diecast release carries the markings of 705 NAS at RNAS Culdrose, the Royal Navy's Gazelle training squadron. Each model is finished with a high level of paint detail and comes complete with its own display stand, as part of a limited edition run of 196 pieces.
