About this model
The F-86 Sabre was the USAF's principal jet fighter during the Korean War, matched against the Soviet MiG-15 in the first major jet-versus-jet combat of the Cold War. This model carries the markings of William T. Whisner, already a 15.5 victory ace from the Second World War, who went on to claim further victories in the F-86A and F-86E over Korea and became one of only seven US airmen to achieve ace status in two wars.
The model arrives fully built in diecast with a silver finish and period-accurate markings, supplied with a display stand ready for a shelf or cabinet.
