About this model
The Hurricane Mk.IIC carried four 20mm Hispano cannons and was widely used for anti-shipping raids, low-level 'Rhubarb' strikes into occupied Europe, nightfighting and as a 'Hurribomber' in North Africa. Z3897 became well known through a Pathé newsreel showing mock combat against a captured Junkers Ju88. It was flown by Belfast-born William W. McConnell of RAF No.1 Squadron between May 1941 and March 1942, and carried distinctive nose artwork linked to his time as a ground attack pilot.
This diecast model arrives ready to display, finished in the green/grey camouflage scheme with the aircraft's nose art reproduced in detail, and comes with a display stand.
