The Eurofighter Typhoon is a twin-engine, canard-delta multirole fighter developed by the Eurofighter consortium of Airbus, BAE Systems and Leonardo. Originally designed as an air superiority fighter, later production standards have added air-to-surface capability, carrying weapons such as Storm Shadow and Brimstone. The RAF has operated the type since it entered service in 2003, with the aircraft having flown combat missions including the 2011 Libya intervention.
