About this model
The Javelin was a twin-engined, all-weather interceptor that served with the RAF from the mid-1950s until the late 1960s. A T-tailed, delta-wing design intended for day and night operations, it was the last aircraft to carry the Gloster name before being succeeded by the English Electric Lightning. XH892 has survived into preservation and can be seen today at NASAM, Flixton, in Suffolk.
This is part of the Aviation72 Premium range, built with extra detail including a sturdy display stand. The undercarriage can be shown either deployed or retracted, and armament and drop tanks are supplied to fit if desired. The paint finish and markings replicate the real aircraft.
