PRODUCT INFO
The Airfix Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IXc Flying Dray is a 1:24 scale plastic model kit depicting the aircraft used on RAF beer-delivery flights after D-Day.
About this model
The Flying Dray story tells of Spitfires pressed into service ferrying beer to forces in France shortly after the Normandy landings. This kit recreates that episode with a full Spitfire Mk.IXc airframe alongside a set of resin extras that reflect its unusual cargo.
Alongside the 448 plastic components you get two resin beer barrels with lids, alternative resin nose cones, resin bomb racks and a resin slipper tank. Three paint schemes are included so you can build a specific historical example, and a commemorative Airfix engraved pint glass comes with every kit.
