About this model
The MiG-17 was a new design rather than a simple enlargement of the earlier MiG-15, bringing genuine improvements to Soviet jet fighter capability. Built to intercept bombers, it proved unexpectedly effective against far more advanced American aircraft thanks to its agility, scoring victories over types such as the F-105 Thunderchief and Phantom.
This kit reproduces the aircraft in 1:72 scale with 87 parts and two decal options, giving modellers a choice of markings for the finished build.
