This replica commemorates Captain Giovanni Bonet, who commanded the Montefusco Squadra and was lost in combat against USAAF Boeing B-17s in spring 1944.

The model is finished in dark green and earth brown camouflage over light grey undersides, with Italian national flags on the fuselage and tail fins and the squadron codes Cantauro Serie 1 MM 91147 in blue and yellow. Black and white fasces symbols appear on the upper and lower wing surfaces, a marking carried over from Roman tradition that the ANR applied to its G55s. The propeller spinner is finished in black and white with yellow-tipped blades, and the exhaust pipes are painted in a rusty brown. The aircraft is presented in flying configuration without landing gear and comes with a display stand.

Specifications

Brand: Oxford Diecast

Aircraft type: Fiat G55

Scale: 1:72

Air force: Italian Air Force

Era: WW2

Category: Diecast Models

Common questions

What scale is this model?

It is built to 1:72 scale.

What materials is it made from?

The model is constructed from diecast metal with plastic detail components.

Does it include a display stand?

Yes, a display stand is included, with the aircraft presented in flying configuration without landing gear.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0982/0294/3863/files/oxford-fiat-g55-cantauro-montefusco-bonet-diecast-scale-model-1-72-ac112-OXDAC112.jpg?v=1774275474
https://www.hangarmodels.co.uk/products/oxford-fiat-g55-cantauro-montefusco-bonet-diecast-scale-model-1-72-ac112-oxdac112
