The single-engine naval torpedo bomber carried a crew of up to four and operated from the escort carrier USS Petrof Bay.

The model reproduces the midnight blue and dark sea grey upper surfaces against a white underbody, with white squadron graphics including a four leaf clover on the tail fin. The 'Blopsy' nose art is finished in colour, and the model carries black-painted forward Browning machine guns along with a rear-facing turret gun. Black propellers with yellow tips, rust-toned exhaust pipes and a silver propeller hub complete the finish.

Specifications

Brand: Oxford Diecast

Scale: 1:72

Aircraft type: Grumman TBF

Air force: USAF

Era: WW2

Category: Diecast Models

Common questions

What scale is this model?

It is built to 1:72 scale, matching Oxford's other Grumman Avenger releases.

Which squadron and carrier does it represent?

It depicts White 83 'Blopsy' of Squadron 76, operating from the USS Petrof Bay in 1945.

Does the model include weapon and engine detail?

Yes, the forward and turret Browning machine guns are reproduced in black, along with yellow-tipped propellers and rust-finished exhaust pipes.

https://www.hangarmodels.co.uk/products/oxford-diecast-grumman-tbm-1c-avenger-blopsy-sqn-76-1-72-diecast-model-aircraft-ac132
