ClearFix forms a thin, nearly invisible membrane around the edges of the component rather than a full bond across the surface, holding glazing securely in place without affecting its optical clarity.

A cocktail stick is the usual way to apply it, running a fine line around the part before positioning. Excess adhesive wipes away with a damp cloth before it sets, and the 24-hour cure time allows plenty of opportunity to get the fit right before it's permanent.

Specifications

Brand: Humbrol

Category: Paints & Accessories

Bottle size: 28ml

Compatible materials: Polystyrene and ABS

Recommended for clear parts of 3mm or less

Common questions

Will this work as a general plastic glue?

No, ClearFix is a specialist adhesive for clear components and isn't a substitute for standard poly cement used on the rest of the kit.

How long does it take to cure?

Allow 24 hours for a full cure, which gives you time to adjust the position of the part before the bond sets permanently.

What size parts is it suitable for?

ClearFix is intended for clear plastic components of 3mm thickness or less, such as canopies and window glazing.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0982/0294/3863/files/humbrol-clearfix-28ml-bottle-AC5708.jpg?v=1774300425
