During Operation Desert Storm the aircraft provided laser designation support using Pave Spike equipment, allowing other RAF strike aircraft to attack from higher altitudes while the Buccaneer handled target marking at lower level. The kit reproduces this equipment along with the aircraft's distinctive profile.

Inside the box you get pre-coloured plastic components, an instruction sheet, a paint layout guide and water-slide decals for the Gulf War markings scheme.

Specifications

Brand: Airfix

Aircraft type: Buccaneer

Designation: Blackburn Buccaneer S.2

Air force: RAF

Era: Cold War

Scale: 1:72

Parts: 141

Skill level: 3

What's inside: Plastic kit, instruction sheet, paint guide and decal sheet

Common questions

What scale is this Buccaneer kit?

It's 1:72 scale, giving a good level of detail without taking up too much bench space.

Does the kit include paint and decals?

Decals and a paint layout guide are included, but paints themselves are not supplied separately.

What skill level is this kit suited to?

It's rated skill level 3, suited to modellers with some prior kit-building experience.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0982/0294/3863/files/airfix-blackburn-buccaneer-s-2-gulf-war-1-72-plastic-kit-A06022A-3.jpg?v=1774552086
https://www.hangarmodels.co.uk/products/airfix-blackburn-buccaneer-s-2-gulf-war-1-72-plastic-kit-a06022a
